A typical Sunday morning in the tropics was spun on its head as some fried plantains go missing; Mamma’s fried plantains. Someone will have to answer for it (likely Jerome) and the consequences will be felt, both literally and figuratively.

The outcome of this experience either becomes too gruesome to describe or is surprisingly palatable and brings to light hidden issues. The family must decide whether to address and work through the issues together, bringing them closer as a family, or to ignore it.

Interspersed with Jamaican dialect, the narrator, throughout, humorously punctuates the story as the plot unfolds. Who Stole Mamma’s Fried Plantains is short and spicy, and easy to read.

Come and learn about Mamma, Jerome, Kim and Steve… and most importantly, who stole the fried plantains.
